Biography
Duan Yongji, male, Han nationality, is a native of Beijing. He was born in 1946 and graduated from Tsinghua University in 1970. Duan received a master's degree from the Aeronautical Institute in 1979.
Before joining the Stone Corporation, Duan was the deputy chief of the research office at the China Aviation Material Research Center.
At the Stone Corporation, he was deputy general manager and vice-president before becoming president in 1991. He served in that capacity for eight years, until 1999. That year, he was made chairman of the company. Duan is a member of the 8th and 9th CPPCC.
