Biography

Jiang Zelin, male, Han nationality, is a native of Anqing, Anhui Province. He was born in 1959, joined the CPC in 1985, attended the Jiangsu Institute of Technology, and received a doctorate from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Jiang began his career as an engineer at the Nanjing Institute of Agricultural Mechanization. He later held posts in the Sanya Municipal Agriculture Bureau and the Hainan Provincial Aquatic Product Bureau. He served as vice-governor of Hainan Province from 2002-2006. He also served as Secretary of the Sanya CPC City Committee.

He is was an Alternate Member of the 17th CPC Central Committee and from 2011 to 2015 he was Vice-Governor of Shaanxi Province. In 2015 he was named Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council and Deputy Secretary-General of the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters.
