Biography

Ma Xingrui, male, Han nationality, is a native of Yuncheng County, Shandong Province. He was born in 1959, graduated from Liaoning Technical University (was called Fuxin Mining Institute ) with a Bachelor Degree in 1982, from Tianjin University with a Master Degree and entered the work force in 1985, graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology with Doctorate Degree and joined the CPC in 1988. From 1999 to 2007, he was Deputy General Manager of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. From 2007 to 2013 he was General Manger and Secretary of Leading Party Group, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

He is a Member of 18th CPC Central Committee. In 2013 he served as Vice-Minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Director of China Atomic Energy Authority, Director of the State Administration for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense (SASTIND) and Director of the China National Space Administration (CNSA).

Ma served as Deputy Secretary of the Guangdong CPC Provincial Committee from 2009 to 2015. In 2015 he became Secretary of the Shenzhen CPC City Committee, a position he held until December of 2016 when he was named Acting Governor of Guangdong Province. In 2017 he became Governor of Guangdong Province and a member of the 19th CPC Central Committee.
