Biography
Ruan Chengfa, male, is a native of Huangpi District, Wuhan City, Hubei province. He was born in 1957, joined the CPC in 1982, and graduated from Wuhan University with a master's degree in economic management. Ruan held leading posts in his native Wuhan City, where he served as secretary of the CPC municipal committee until 1998.
From 2008 to 2016 he was Mayor of Wuhan City. He was an Alternate Member of the 18th CPC Central Committee and in 2017 he became Governor of Yunnan Province and a member of the 19th CPC Central Committee.
