Tang Honggao, male, Han nationality, is a native of Yanggu, Shandong province. He was born in 1939, graduated from Shandong University, and joined the CPC in 1972. Subsequently he attended the graduate school of the Physics Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In the mid-1990's he served as president of China Science and Technology University. He was a member of the 15th CPC Central Committee and a deputy to the NPC.
