Biography

Wu Qidi, female, Han nationality, is a native of Yongjia County, Zhejiang province. She was born in 1947, graduated from Qinghua University, and obtained a doctorate in Switzerland.

Wu has had a successful career at Tongji University as a professor and president. She was soon elected member to the academic degrees committee of the State Council, and she also served as deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Academic Degree Committee. Wu Qidi was elected vice-minister of education in 2003.
