Zhang Ming, male, Han nationality, is a native of Li County, Hebei Province. He was born in 1957, entered the work force in 1975, graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University with Bachelor Degree and joined the CPC in 1983. From 2011 to 2013, he was Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Ministry. From 2013 to 2017 he was Vice-Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affair. In October of 2017 he became Head of the Chinese Mission to the European Union.
