Biography Highlight

Li Shenming, male, Han nationality, is a native of Wenxian county, Henan province. He was born in 1949, joined the PLA in 1970, and joined the CPC in 1971. Li has served as secretary of the Central Military Commission and vice-president of the PLA Medical Research Institute from 1994 to 1998. In 1997 he was promoted to major general. He was Vice-President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences from 1998 to 2013.
