Biography
Gong Zheng, male, Han Nationality, was born in 1960 and joined the CPC in 1985. He graduated from Customs Management Department of the University of International Business and Economics in 1982 and acquired an MBA of from University of International Business and Economics in 1994. From 2013 to 2015 he was Executive Vice-Governor of Zhejiang Province. in 2015 he became Deputy Secretary of CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and in 2017 he was elected Governor of Shandong.
He is a member of the 19th CPC Central Committee and on March 23, 2020, Gong became Mayor of Shanghai.
