Wu Dingfu, male, Han nationality, is a native of Wuxue City, Hubei Province. He was born in 1946.
Wu attended Wuhan Normal University, and joined the CPC in 1972. Wu has held leading posts in the National Audit Office and in the late 1990s he served as the first vice-chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission. Wu Dingfu was an alternate member of the 16th CPC Central Committee.
Wu Dingfu was an alternate member of the 17th CPC Central Committee and chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission from 2002 to 2011.
