Xie Ping, male, Han nationality, is a native of Wenzhou, Zhejiang province. He was born in 1955, and received a doctorate from the Renmin University of China in 1988. He held leading posts at the People's Bank of China, and became chief of the Hunan branch in 1997. He became director of the Finance Stability Bureau of the People's Bank of China in 2003.
Xie Ping was a deputy of the 9th National People's Congress.
