Biography
Zhang Zuoji, male, Han nationality, is a native of Bayan, Heilongjiang Province. Zhang was born in 1945, graduated from Heilongjiang University and joined the CPC in 1972.
Zhang spent ten years in political roles in the 5th Ministry of Machine-Building. In 1987, he joined the Ministry of Labor and Personnel. He subsequently held the position of vice-mayor of Xi'an and was appointed Minister of Labor an Social Security in 1998. From 2003 - 2007 he was Governor of Heilongjiang Province.
Zhang was a member of the 16th CPC Central Committee. He is currently a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee.
