Biography Highlight

Jiang Chengzong, male, Han nationality, was born in 1932 and graduated from the Beijing Foreign Languages Institute. Jiang had several diplomatic posts, serving as the Chinese ambassador to Barbados until 1996. In 2001 he served as a council member of the Chinese UN Association. He was appointed secretary-general of the China National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation in 2000.
