Chen Shupeng, male, Han nationality, is a native of Pingxiang, Jiangxi Province. He graduated from the Geochronic Geology Department of Zhejiang University and was named senior academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1980.
Chen is an expert on geography, cartography, and the application of remote sensing. He has authored and edited numerous books and articles and has won national and international awards for his work.
