Biography

Chen Zhongyi, male, Taiwanese, is a native of Taipei, Taiwan. He was born in 1923, and graduated from St. John's University in Shanghai.

Chen obtained a Master's Degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the USA, and worked as an engineer in Los Angeles. Upon returning to Taiwan, he joined the China Democratic League and began teaching at Qinghua University. In 1980, he joined the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League, and served as vice chairman of its 5th and 6th Central Committees. Chen Zhongyi has received accolades for his outstanding work as a teacher of higher education.

Chen Zhongyi was vice chairman of the 7th and 8th CPPCC Beijing Municipal Committees and member of the 6th-8th CPPCC National Committees.
