Fang Xinghai, male, Han nationality, was born in 1968, graduated from Tsinghua University, and received a doctorate from Stanford University. He started his career at the World Bank through the Young Professionals Program, subsequently returning home to join the China Construction Bank and help establish the Cinda Asset Management Company. Fang also worked briefly at Galaxy Securities, China's largest securities firm, before taking on his current position as Deputy CEO of the Shanghai Stock Exchange. In 2015 he became Vice-Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
