Gao Qingshi, male, Han nationality, is a native of Gulangyu, Fujian Province. He graduated from Beijing University in 1957.
Gao has long been engaged in scientific research and the engineering design of large-scale and gigantic computer infrastructure, parallel algorithms, machine translation, and artificial intelligence. He is one of the leaders of the design of the first large-scale universal transistor computer infrastructure and the first 0.1 million per second transistor infrastructure, the so-called 109 C machine of the "Merit Computer". Gao is also the presenter of the new infrastructure principle of the first super-large vector computer and was in charge of its overall design in China.
Gao is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
