Gong Xianyong, male, Han nationality, is a native of Guizhou province. He was born in 1942, joined the CPC in 1972, and graduated from the Chinese Language Department of Guizhou University. He held leading positions in Guizhou province, and he was promoted to vice-governor in 1988. In that same year, Gong served as deputy director of the standing committee of the NPC of Guizhou province.
