Biography
Gong Yueting, male, Han nationality, is a native of Shanghai. He graduated from the Chemical Department of St. John's University and was a researcher at the Shanghai Biochemical Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He later became superintendent of the Shanghai Family Planning Scientific Research Institute. He was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1993.
As a biochemist, Gong has done important research in the field of hormone synthesis and application.
