Biography
Gu Zhiwei, male, Han nationality, is a native of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. He graduated from the Geosciences Department of National Southwest Associated University and was a researcher in the Nanjing Geologic-paleontologic Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1980.
Gu is an expert on stratigraphic paleontology, specializing in the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.
