Jiang Xiaojuan, female, Han nationality, is a native of Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province. She was born in 1957 and graduated from Xi’an Jiatong University in 1981.
A global investment and industry economist, Jiang was a vice-chairman and secretary-general of the international investment research center at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. She was a committee member of the National Soft Scientific Direction Committee and has served as an economic adviser for several cities and provinces.
She is the author of several books, including "The Upgrade of Industry in the System Shunt," "Upgrade of Industry Structure in the Turn of the Century," and "The Trend of Globalization with Advanced Technology Industry Development."
Jiang was the deputy director of the institute of finance and trade economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. From 2004 to 2011 she served as deputy director of the Research Office of the State Council. In 2011, she became Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council.
