Biography
Liu Jian, male, Han nationality, was born in 1958. He graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor Degree and received his MBA Degree from Tianjin University in 2000. Liu first joined CNOOC in 1982 and has over 27 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL) with effect from March 2009. Since June 2009, he has been serving as Vice-Chairman of COSL. Since August 27 2010, Liu has been appointed as Chairman of COSL and Deputy General Manager of China National Offshore Oil Corporation.
