Biography
Liu Zhigang, male, Han nationality, is a native of Zao Zhuang, Shandong province. He was born in 1956, joined the CPC in 1976, and obtained a master's degree and a doctorate in engineering. Liu has focused his research on the vibration and noise control of power equipment, and he has published over fifty papers in national academic publications. He has been very successful in his scientific research and he has been awarded more than ten prizes for technological and scientific progress at provincial and national levels.
Liu became president of Harbin Engineering University in 2004.
