Lu Dong, male, Han nationality, is a native of Taicang, Jiangsu Province. He joined the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang in 1985.
Lu began his career as associate professor, librarian and director of research of the comparative cultures of China and France at the Xian Foreign Language University. He was deputy secretary-general of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference and served as secretary-general and principal member of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang.
In 2003 he was named vice-chairman of the CPPCC 9th Shaanxi Provincial Committee.
