Lu Jianping, male, Han nationality, is a native of Xinjiang Autonomous Region, Urumqi City. He was born in 1954, entered the work force in 1971, and graduated from Beijing Normal College with a Bachelor Degree in 1982. From 2008 to 2012, he was Director of Publicity Department of CPC Hunan Provincial Committee. From 2012 to 2014 he was Vice-President of Xinhua News Agency.
