Biography

Peng Shoucheng, male, Han nationality, is a native of Ningdu County in Jiangxi Province. He was born in 1943 and graduated from Harbin Institute of Military Engineering Sciences in 1968 with a major in electronic countermeasures. Peng joined the CPC in 1993.

In 1980, he became the deputy director of the system research office at the No. 504 Institute of the 5th Academy at the 7th Ministry of Mechanical Industry.

Peng has extensive experience in developing communication satellites. He was involved in the launch of electronic reconnaissance equipment and specifically, the Dongfanghong No. 2 experiment communication satellite. In 1984, he was the architect of three sub-systems of the Dongfanghong No. 2 A antenna, transponder, and tracker. Peng led the team on the design, development, and launch of the Fenghuo No. 1 satellite.
