Peng Yong, male, Han nationality, is a native of Lulong County, Hebei Province. He was born in 1954, entered the work force in 1970, joined the CPC in 1971, and graduated from Shijiazhuang Army Academy Long-Distance Education Program with a Bachelor Degree in 1998. From 2004 to 2011, he was Army Commander of 47th Group Army of PLA. Since 2011, he is Commander-in-Chief, Xinjiang Military Region, PLA. Since November 2012, he is Member, 18th CPC Central Committee.
