Wang Faren, male, Han nationality, is a native of Haikou, Hainan province. He was born in 1947, graduated from junior college, and joined the CPC in 1971. He is a senior economist. He held leading posts in his native Hainan province, where he served as mayor of Haikou. At present he is a member of the Hainan Provincial CPC Committee, and in 2003 he was elected deputy director of the standing committee of the NPC of the province.
