Wang Yunlong, male, Han nationality, is a native of Pingyao, Shanxi Province. He was born in 1945, joined the CPC in 1966, and graduated from the Beijing University of Technology.
Wang spent the early part of his career in Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, working first in the chemical industry and later in the seismological sector of Shanxi Province. In the early 1990's, he occupied Party positions in the province and in 1995 transferred to Beijing, where he became vice-chairman of the Beijing University of Science and Engineering. In 1996, he returned briefly to Shanxi province, and in the following year was transferred to Chongqing, where he occupied senior Party and government positions.
Wang Yunlong was a member of the 14th, 15th and 16th CPC Central Committees. He is now Chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee of the 11th NPC.
