Biography
Xiao gang, male, Han nationality, is a native of Ji’an County, Jiangxi Province. He was born in 1958; Xiao got his Bachelor from Hunan University and Master in Law from Renmin University of China, and started his career in 1976.
Xiao also worked at the People’s Bank of China. He was chairman of the board of directors of the Bank of China Limited from 2004 to 2013. He was also an Alternate Member of the 17th CPC Central Committee.
Xiao is a member of the 18th CPC Central Committee and served as Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission from 2013 to 2016.
