Ye Qing, male, Han nationality, is a native of Suzhou, Jiangsu province. He was born in 1933, graduated from the Industrial School of Huainan Coal Mine, and joined the CPC in 1956.
Ye spent the early years of his career as chief engineer at the Jixi Mining Administration in Heilongjiang and at the Ministry of Coal Industry. He has served as vice-minister of both the State Planning Commission and the State Economic Commission. Ye has also worked on social issues such as natural disaster relief and nuclear accident emergency planning.
Ye Qing was an alternate member of the 14th CPC Central Committee.
