Ye Shuhua, female, Han nationality, is a native of Shunde, Guangdong province. She was born in 1927, and graduated from Zhongshan University.
Ye has been engaged in research on universal time settings and the earth's rotation for many years. She has directed the Shanghai Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and served as vice-chairman of the executive committee of the International Astronomy Union. Ye has won numerous scientific awards, and the asteroid QSO No.3241 was named after her in 1994.
Ye Shuhua was a member of the standing committees of the 7th-9th NPC.
