Ye Zhishan, male, Han nationality, is a native of Suzhou, Jiangsu province. He was born in 1918, and graduated from the National Central Craft School.
Ye is the son of the famous modern writer Ye Shengtao, and has written several literary works himself. He has worked as editor of a children's publishing house, as well as the China Youth Publishing House. Ye became involved in the China Association for Promoting Democracy in the late 1950s, and served as vice-chairman of its 7thto 10th Central Committees.
Ye Zhishan was a member of the standing committees of the 6thto9th CPPCC National Committees.
