Zhou Qifeng, male, Han nationality, is a native of Hunan province. He was born in 1947, graduated from the chemistry department of Peking University in 1970, and became an instructor there after graduation. He obtained his doctorate from the University of Massachusetts in the U.S.A. in 1983, and was elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999.
Professor Zhou has published one academic monograph, one textbook in English and over 160 articles. He became president of Jilin University in 2004.
