Cheng Jinpei, male, Han nationality, is a native of Guanyun, Jiangsu province. He was born in 1948, and attended Nankai University and Northwestern University in the U.S., where he obtained a doctorate. Cheng was an academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Third World Academy of Science. He serves as vice-minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party.
