Jiang Zhenghua, male, Han nationality, is a native of Fuyang, Zhejiang Province. He was born in 1937 and graduated from Jiaotong University and the International Demography Academy. He joined the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party in 1992.
Jiang spent his entire career working in the field of demography. He spent 20 years as a lecturer and director of China's leading demography institutions. He taught for many years both in China and abroad. In 1991, he became vice-minister of the State Planning Commission. Jiang belongs to several national and international demographic societies. He is the author of several books.
Jiang was a member of the 7th CPPCC National Committee and a member of the Standing Committee of the 8th CPPCC National Committee. He also served as vice-chairman of the 9th NPC Standing Committee.
