Legqog, male, Tibetan nationality, is a native of Gyangze, Tibet Autonomous Region. He was born in 1944, joined the work force in 1964, and joined the CPC in 1972.

From 1980-1986 he was Deputy Head of the Organization Department of the CPC Tibet Regional Committee. In 1995, he was elected Deputy Secretary of the 5th CPC Tibet Autonomous Regional Committee and in 2001 he was elected Deputy Secretary of the 6th CPC Tibet Autonomous Regional Committee.

He was alternate member of the 15th CPC Central Committee and was a member of the 16th CPC Central Committee. In 2007, he became a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee.
