Liu Shiyu, male, Han nationality. He graduated from Tsinghua University and received a master's degree in management engineering. He began his career at the People's Bank of China in 1996, and he was promoted to director-general of the general administration department in 2002. He served as vice-governor from in 2006 to 2014. In 2016 he was became Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission. He is a member of the 19th CPC Central Committee.
