Liu Wenjie, male, Han Chinese, is a native of Chaoyang, Guangdong Province. He was born in 1944 and graduated from Zhongshan University.
Liu spent his entire career in customs and trade promotion. He served as deputy chief of the Shantou Customs Department, prior to being named as deputy chief of the State Customs Administration in 1991. He later was appointed deputy chairman of China International Trade Promotion Committee. He also served as deputy chairman of the China International Chamber of Commerce,
