Biography
Ma Yongwei, male, Han nationality is a native of Rongcheng, Shandong Province. He was born in 1942, graduated from Liaoning Institute of Finance and Economics and joined the CPC in 1981.
Ma spent most of his career working in management roles in China's financial services institutions. In 1993, he was elected vice-chairman of the International Confederation for Agricultural Credit. Five years later, he became chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission. He also serves as chairman and general director of People's Insurance Company of China.
Ma was a delegate to the 13th, 14th and 15th CPC National Congresses.
