Tian Guangtao, male, Han nationality, is a native of Qingfeng, Henan Province. He was born in 1921 and joined the CPC 1937.
Tian spent his early years in Party leadership positions at the county and prefectural levels in Hebei Province. In 1952, he became deputy director of the personnel department of the Ministry of Communications. By 1965, he had left the ministry and become involved in various foreign trade companies. In 1982, he became president of the University of International Business and Economics.
