Wu Minsheng, male, Han nationality, is a native of Pingtan County, Fujian province. He was born in 1946, and graduated from Tsinghua University. He was appointed as president of Fuzhou University in 2002.
Wu successively led key programs of the 6th Five Year plan for economic and social development. In 1984, he was the second prize winner of the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award. He has led three programs for the National Natural Science Foundation and published more than eighty papers.
