Zhu Kaixuan, male, Han nationality, is a native of Shanghai. He was born in1932, joined the CPC in 1953 and graduated from the Beijing Aeronautical Institute.
Zhu spent much of his career in education. He began as a lecturer at Beijing Aeronautical Institute and subsequently held several administrative posts prior to becoming vice-president of the Institute.
He later held leadership roles in several state education organizations. In 1998, he was elected chairman of the Education, Science, Culture and Health Committee of the 9th NPC.
Zhu was an alternate member of the 13th and 14th CPC Central Committees and a delegate to the 15th CPC National Congress.
