Wu Zhengde, male, Han nationality, is a native of Chengdu, Sichuan Province. He was born in 1945, studied at the Chengdu Institute of Telecommunications Engineering, and joined the Chinese Democratic League in 1994.Wu Zhengde worked in the Telecommunications field as both an engineer and as an educator. He taught at the Chengdu Institute of Telecommunications Engineering and Chengdu Institute of Applied Physics. Wu joined the Chinese Democratic League in 1994 and became vice-chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Committee and Central Committee of the League. Wu is also a member of the standing committee of the 9th CPPCC National Committee.
Wu is vice-chairman of the 8th CPPCC Sichuan Provincial Committee and vice-chairman of the 8th Chinese Democratic League Central Committee.
